Archangel Uriel Meaning

Uriel is the most earthly of all the archangels. His energy is strengthening, and organizing, yet Uriel is calm. The name Uriel means ” Light of God” or “Fire of God.” Uriel is also known as the ‘angel of doom’ and he carries a flaming sword or hands. In some texts he is the guardian of the realm of the dead, but also as a messenger. Uriel comes to tell his messages when it is most needed. In Judaism, Uriel is the closest angel to God and one of the oldest angels. In Christianity, he is the messenger who warned Noah about the flood, thus giving Noah time to build his ark. The Sibylline Books, a collection of prophetic sayings, say that Uriel holds the key to the gates of hell and will open it on the Day of Judgment. The angel symbolizes benevolence, motherly love, and caring.

Archangel Michael Meaning

Michael is the angel of protection and is generally seen as the most powerful angel. The archangel Michael is the angel of justice, mercy, and protection. Michaël, together with Rafaël, helps to protect people’s health. The name Michael means “he who is like God.” He is the leader of the angelic realm and often looks like a warrior, with a sword in his hand, white wings, and a blue aura around him. Michael plays a major role in Israel’s history. He rescued Abraham from the fiery furnace and also saved Israelites from Egypt during their journey through the desert. However, Michael is best known as the leader of God’s army. When Lucifer tried to conquer heaven with his rebellious angels, Michael defeated him and expelled him as a “fallen angel.”  Their destine to fight more time during the Last Judgement.

Archangel Gabriel Meaning

Gabriel, along with Michael, is one of two angels mentioned in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. The name Gabriel means ‘God is my strength’. Archangel Gabriel appears at times as either female or male. They are the messenger of God and the protector of communication. The angel helps writers, teachers, journalists, and artists, among others, to convey their messages. Gabriel helps to overcome procrastination and find the right motivation. In Judaism, Gabriel appears to the prophet Daniel to explain his visions. In the New Testament he shows himself to Mary and Zechariah. He also announced the conception of Jesus to Mary.

Archangel Raphael Meaning

Raphael is the archangel of physical and emotional healing and protects healers. He is the archangel of harmony and peace. They also protect travelers and ensure that their journey runs smoothly. The archangel Raphael’s name literally means ‘God heals’. Interestingly, based on religious text, this archangel is neither obviously male or female. They are, however, associated with the crystal Aquamarine and the color violet. Together with Archangel Michael, Raphael takes away stress and fears. Raphael has a guiding function among all other angels in heaven and is the leader of angels who also heal and care for people. This is the angel who had to fight the demon Azazel and clear the earth of evil angels. Their ultimate goal is to keep the earth habitable for humans and animals.

Archangel Chamuel is the angel who helps you find. He could help you find lost items, but also if you feel like you’re looking for something else, like a job or yourself. Chamuel is a powerful leader who protects you from negative influences. This Archangel has a light green or pink, just like the Heart Chakra energy. The name Chamuel literally means ‘He who sees God’. Chamuel is the angel who can point you in the right direction and help you find whatever suits you best. Zadkiel Archangel Meaning

The Archangel Jophiel is a calming agent with whom you can vent your heart to at any time. The nice thing about this angel is that she really does help you to let your troubles go. She then sends you the energy you need to bring peace back in your life. Her fuchsia pink light is said to cleanse you and your home of negative energy and help you heal and calm down. According to some stories, Lucifer is the fallen archangel. He was once said to have been the tallest and most beautiful among the angels. Lucifer was the angel God loved most. He was also called “the Light-bringer”, the literal translation of the Latin word Lucifer. Lucifer would not bow to Adam, because he considered man a lesser creation than the angels. He rebelled with several other angels, but they lost. Because of this, they fell from heaven. Lucifer lost his beutiful light- bringer title, and is now the Devil or Satan. The other angels turned into demons.

It is said that Archangels can also be invoked. This could be helpful in times when you need a push in the right direction. To invoke Archangels use Affirmations, a small prayer. Archangel Chamuel is the angel to turn to when you have lost something, literally and figuratively. You can also invoke him to help you connect with others. The affirmation reads:

The Archangel Zadkiel can help when you suffer from fears or can not see the bright side of life. Invoke him to stand in your own power again and forgive yourself and others. The affirmation goes like this:
