Ratnasambhava Buddha means ‘The Jewel Born’. The Ratnasambhava stands for the wisdom of equality. Ratnasambhava also touches the ground, just like the Aksobhya Buddha, but with his palm facing the viewer, as a gesture of giving. Ratnasambhavan is the donor of gifts. He gives the world the three jewels: the Buddha, his doctrine (dharma) and his community (sanga). Ratnasambhava’s mandalas and mantras focus on the development of equanimity and equality among people, and to destroy greed and pride. His mantra is about ra tna sa mbha va tram. In many houses nowadays one finds a meditative place with a Buddha statue, around which flowers, candles, scents and pictures of loved ones. It is the place where one comes to reflection and meditation every day.
