Mala with amazonite beads. Strung on an elastic band and can thus easily be worn as a bracelet.
Amazonite is believed to balance the power of thought and intuitive wisdom.
A mala is originally a prayer chain from Hinduism and Buddhism and is used in meditation to count mantras. A mantra is a collection of words, often from Sanskrit, that is repeated several times – traditionally 108 times. You focus your attention on the meaning and vibration of the words, possibly combined with the accompanying visualisation. By training yourself in a meditation exercise like this, your thoughts come to rest and your body relaxes. Nowadays, a mala is also worn as a fashion accessory.
Ohm – Om – Aum is the first sound of creation, the breath that accompanies the word. It does not belong to any language and existed even before the first words were formed. It is believed that constant repetition leads to deep meditation. Ohm represents the three states of human beings: Waking, dreaming and deep sleep.
The Ohm – mantra is the basis of many other mantras: Ohm mani padme hum, (I) honour the pearl in the lotus (wisdom); Ohm Shanti : (I) wish (you) holy peace.
It is believed that, as a talisman, the Aum / Ohm sign helps you to find peace and tranquillity within yourself. The sign will ensure balance, wherever you put it down.
