Statue of the famous Indian lucky elephant god, detailed and beautifully worked out. Ganesh (also called Ganesh or Ganapati Tantra) is in the pantheon of Hinduism, but also in Buddhism, the deity with the elephant’s head. He is the god of knowledge and wisdom, takes away obstacles and is the patron saint of travellers. Hindus pray to Ganesha before they start something new, like a new job or when they move house. Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati.
