The driftwood articles are manufactured by a small-scale family business. Putu and Koman founded this company as a couple. Together they have three children. Putu and Koman’s family business employs about 15 people.
The Capiz Shell is an oyster-like flat shell, which occurs in large quantities in the waters around the Indonesian islands. The shell is flat and quite round. In Spanish colonial times they were mainly used for windows in houses because of their translucent nature. Now they are widely used in decorative products.
