Fairtrade product from Nepal.
Fairtrade stands for exactly that: fair trade. This means that producers in developing countries receive a fair price for their product. And that the conditions in which they work are dignified. So no child labor, no extremely long working days and attention to environmentally friendly production processes.
For these felt products, undyed sheep’s wool is purchased in New Zealand and dyed in the correct color in Nepal. The dyed or undyed wool is felted and then processed into all kinds of different products; from bags to balls, from brooches and baby shoes to mobiles to hang up.
