Tingshas (ding-shas) are hand-cimbals and originally come from Tibet. The word tingsha means in Tibetan ‘hanging cymbal’. They are traditionally used as musical accompaniment to spiritual actions. Think for example of services and prayer rituals, or meditation. Especially in Tibetan Buddhism and Hinduism you will find tingshas. Tingshas are also used for harmonising and cleaning energy, for example in Feng Shui or energetic medicine. Ornamenten The two cymbals of the tingsh are usually decorated at the top with figures and signs. This tingsha is decorated with beautiful dragons. Samenstelling The tingsha’s cymbals are made of various metals, a so-called alloy. The most common alloy is bronze: a combination of copper, tin and small amounts of nickel. Each disc of this tingsha is cast separately and then voted by hand. Opbergen This tingsha is best kept in a dedicated case. It is made of brocade and has two compartments. You can also wrap it in a cloth or scarf. Spiritual instruments at Spiru Spiru offers a wide range of spiritual instruments.
