This hand-hammered singing bowl from Nepal is a unique piece of art. The bowl is made of bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, with small percentages of eight other noble metals. The production process is entirely manual and requires a lot of precision and craftsmanship. The bowl is carefully hammered into the right shape, going through various stages to achieve the correct form and a pure tone. The discs are first heated until red-hot before being hammered into the desired shape. This process is repeated until the bowl has the right shape and sound. After this process, the bowl is sanded and polished inside and out for the finishing touch. The singing bowl has a wide, flared shape and produces a very special, long-lasting sound. The gold-colored finish gives the bowl an elegant appearance. This product is delivered without singing bowl sticks.
