Artisans

This family business started making ceramic tableware in 2002. It started with five employees, but over the years has created jobs for 30 people. More than 70% of the staff are women. The men do the heavy work and the women do the finer work like painting and polishing.

How is it made?

Moulds are used. These are filled and have to dry. When they have fully hardened, they can be painted. Finally, a glaze is applied and the product can go into the oven. After the products have cooled down, the quality control takes place. The products are ready to be packed and shipped.
