White Tara (Drolma in Tibetan) is a female manifestation of enlightened energy; she is very popular in Tibetan Buddhism. There are 21 manifestations of Tara; the most important two are White Tara and Green Tara. Characteristic of the appearance of White Tara are the seven eyes in the head, palms of the hands and soles of the feet, and she sits in the full lotus position.
