For Nepali handmade paper, a 2,000 year old technique is used, and it is one of the ancient traditional crafts from the kingdom in the Himalayas. The Daphne bush (Lokta) used in the production can be found at an altitude of 6500 ft. to 9500 ft. and is harvested every two to three years. Mahaguthi, Craft with a Conscience, has been dedicated for more than 10 years to supporting low-income and economically disadvantaged producers in Nepal who create beautiful products.
