Enriched with almond oil, so extra friendly to the skin! Le Chatelard 1802 Savon de Marseille Zepen All the soaps are handmade in the workshops of Le Chatelard 1802 in St Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Due to the pH neutral formula, these soaps do not dry out the skin. They are a source of intense hydration and softness. The soaps are subtly perfumed with flowers, fruit and other natural ingredients, giving them rich foam that nourishes, hydrates and deliciously perfumed. This 1000 natural soap is traditionally made by mixing water from the Mediterranean Sea with olive oil, whether or not with other vegetable oils, sodium carbonate and caustic soda. This mixture is heated in a large boiler for a few days, during which the mixture is stirred constantly. This gives it all the time to ‘ripen’, after which it is poured into moulds to harden further. If the soap is still soft, it is already cut and stamped to the correct shape. The whole process can take up to a month.
