What is a pendulum?
A pendulum is a weight on a wire or chain. This weight can be of any material or shape to suit your needs or preferences. A pendulum is often used in combination with an answer map. You have many different maps, from very simple (yes, no, maybe) to very extensive.
How exactly the pendulum works is not really clear to anyone. According to Albert Einstein, its movement is caused by the earth’s magnetic field. This is the same magnetic field that birds use to determine their location and route.
What do you use a pendulum for?
A pendulum and a dowsing rod work according to the same principle, although the dowsing rod is used more outdoors (or for water veins in the house) and the pendulum is used more indoors. In addition to the magnetic field, weather circumstances that can influence the movement of dowsing-rods (wind).
Who uses(s) a dowsing rod or pendulum?
The pendulum and dowsing rod have been used for thousands of years. Even in the bible Moses is described as using his staff (dowsing rod) to find water. You come across the pendulum/dowsing rod in numerous ancient civilizations. There are people who use a pendulum exclusively privately, but large companies also used dowsing rods and pendulums to find resources. Some well-known companies are: Bristol-Meyers and Hoffmann Laroche.
Some famous dowsers or pendulum followers are: Leonarda da Vinci, Robert Boyle, Charles Richet, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Thomas Edison, Lloyd George, General Rommel and General Patton. But the British and American military also used dowsers and commuters to find, for example, mines, underground passages or water in the desert.
Maintenance.
For the clearest possible reading, clean the pendulum regularly.
