Statue of the famous Indian lucky elephant god, detailed and beautifully crafted. This statue is made of brass and a lot heavier than for example the poly-resin statues.
Ganesha (also called Ganesh or Ganapati Tantra) is in the pantheon of Hinduism, but also in Buddhism, the deity with the elephant head.
He is the god of knowledge and wisdom, removes obstacles and is the patron saint of travelers. Hindus pray to Ganesha before starting something new, such as a new job or when moving house. Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati.
Because the making of these statues is a manual process, there may be some imperfections.
