Ganesha (also called Ganesh or Ganapati Tantra) is in the pantheon of Hinduism, but also in Buddhism, the deity with the elephant head.
He is the god of knowledge and wisdom, takes away obstacles and is the patron saint of travelers. Hindus pray to Ganesha before they start something new, such as a new job or when they move. Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati.
Because the making of these images is a manual process, there may be some irregularities. You can think of smudges or colours / lines that have just not been 100% opaque.
