This beautiful handmade singing bowl comes directly from Nepal and bears the spiritual Om Mani Pad Me Hum mantra, carefully engraved on both the inside and outside. The craftsmanship is evident in the refined details and the purity of the sound, which is rich in overtones. The singing bowl is made from a mix of metals, including copper, tin, and a selection of 8 noble metals, resulting in a unique piece that can vary in design and color. The singing bowl weighs between 1500 and 1650 grams and has a diameter of approximately 24 cm, although this can vary due to the handmade nature of the product. This singing bowl is the result of a fully manual process where each bowl is carefully hammered into the right shape. The process begins with melting the various metals in a furnace, after which the molten metal is poured into a mold and then cut into discs of different diameters and thicknesses. These discs are then hand-hammered into the desired shape and size. The fine finishing process begins after the bowls have taken their rough shape. Each bowl gets its own shape and size, and a lot of fine hammering is involved to achieve the right shape and sound. Finally, the bowls are individually sanded and polished inside and out, and possibly worked with chisels, for the finishing touch. Note: The singing bowl sticks must be ordered separately. Each piece is unique and may vary in design and color from the shown photo.
