These beautiful altar cloths are handmade in Jaipur, India. By means of special sieves and stamps, different colors are added to the 100% cotton cloths by hand.
Because the making of the cloths is a manual process, it is possible that there may be some irregularities. For example, smudges (especially on the back because of the wax used during the production process), frayed ends or colors / lines that are not quite 100% opaque. Unfortunately, this cannot be prevented. You will always get a unique cloth!
Triquetra (or Celtic Knot) is Latin for ‘triangle’. Although this symbol was already found on Indian religious images of more than 5000 years old, it is now considered to be a Celtic symbol (from the 8th century) with interlocking circles. It represents the trinity of Life, Death and Rebirth, of Body, Mind & Soul. This is also called the triple goddess.
