This authentic Buddha shows the hand posture of teaching and transfer of knowledge (vitarkamudra). This is the posture of reasoning, teaching and discussion. The Buddha is handmade in India. No two Buddhas are alike.

Because the making of these statues is a manual process, there is a possibility that they contain some irregularities. You can think of smudges or colours / lines that have just not been 100% opaque.

The sculpture is made of brass. This makes it quite heavy and expensive.
