According to gemstone therapists, you can enhance Luna’s power with stones that suit her, such as Moonstone, Selenite, Opalite, and Carnelian. According to many, Labradorite also has a connection with the moon, because this mineral would influence intuition and the hormone balance.

Full Moon Water on Your Wiccan Altar

Moon water can also be offered on a Wiccan Altar or other magical workplace. Most Wiccan and Shamanic traditions regard the moon and the element of water as manifestations of goddess power. Celebrating Esbats

Wiccans celebrate in addition to their Sabbaths, the sun worship festivals, and also moon celebrations or esbats. The witch year has 12 or 13 different full moons, each with its own theme. The names of these moons vary quite a bit according to tradition, but they always have to do with the season and the growth cycle of nature. Under the wintry Tree moon, Wolf moon and ice Moon, for example, depth and reflection are central. So if you make moon water for yourself during an esbat, witches say you can use this energy to move with the development of nature!

Making Moon Water, the Essentials

What You Need:

  • A clean bottle, carafe or your highly personal Witches Cauldron
  • Water from the tap, a stream or collected rainwater (note the drinkability)
  • Light of the moon
  • Refrigerator or other dark, cool place to store your water

Making Moon Water in 5 Steps

Once your supplies are in order, the magical work can begin. These steps will guide you to your first batch of moon water!

  1. Choose the Moon phase
  2. Pick your date
  3. Place the Water
  4. Set your alarm clock
  5. Save your Moon water

Choose the Moon Phase

First of all, choose a moon phase whose vibes you want to catch. For example, for most witches, the Full Moon provides insight into results and the waning Moon encourages reflection. The New Moon would carry within it the very beginnings of plans and the waxing moon the power to shape them. According to astrologers, only a lunar eclipse is less suitable, because the hidden or confusing things that come to light on a personal and social level during these events aren’t things that you necessarily want to capture in your bottle!

Pick Your Date

To know where the moon is, you need a lunar calendar. You can buy one or consult it online for free. Matching moon water with your Horoscope is also an option. Do you want to know when Luna is in which sign of the zodiac? Then look for a calendar with astrological information or ask your favorite astrologer.

Place the Water

If you want to charge water with moon energy, you have to have it ready by sunset. You can do this on your windowsill or in the open air, as long as the light from Luna can shine on it. Keep in mind the presence of animals and the weather conditions outdoors. For example, make sure that your carafe or kettle cannot be knocked over and decide if you want to collect it in the event of precipitation. It can be very special to make moon water from hail or snow, but rain (in any form) is not recommended as drinking water because it often contains bacteria and harmful substances.

Set your Alarm Clock

After placing your kettle or carafe, set an alarm to make sure you collect it on time. Moon water becomes sun & moon water as soon as daylight falls on it, and that has a completely different energy. So look up when the sun rises, for example in a weather forecast or almanac, and get your clocks ready!

Save your Moon Water

When you have saved the Moon water from the first rays of the sun, you can pour it into a sealed bottle and store it in a dark, cool room until use. The refrigerator is ideal, but a cellar, garage or shed are also fine. If you are going to use the water immediately or put it on your altar, skip this step.
